On longing assignment

  "The body is the primary mode of perceiving scale"  I was walking around a national park in Denver, Colorado taking in the scenery around me when I came across this small chipmunk on a rock eating a snack. We always look at what's in front of us and not the details in life or in nature, so I wanted to show that small, cute things are quietly hiding around us and we should notice what's in our environment.   "Nostalgia can not be sustained without lost" Having two sisters has its perks but I realized my younger sister (on the left) will be starting college and my older sister (on the right) is going to be farther away from our family, starting law school. Realizing that we won't be home at the same time anymore, due to our upcoming different schedules, makes me miss my sisters even now - before they leave.   "The souvenir exist as a sample of the now distance experience, an experience in which the object can only evoke" It

"Shifting your attention to something else will distract you from pain; pain requires our full attention."-Diane Ackerman  By looking at the pain that was happening and reading in the book I decide to make a painting of a girl in all black and white that has a red background. Seeing that red is the color of red and pain and she is having no emotions toward her face so she is out from her perspective toward anything  "What is a sense of one's self?
